COVID-19 has of course had a huge impact on the world, with many gaming events across the world cancelled. We are very lucky in New Zealand to have been able to keep a degree of normal life.
Our events can not operate at Alert Level 2 or above. Board gaming is a very social activity, and we can not maintain the social distancing required at these higher alert levels.
At Level 1, we will have contact tracing in place. Everybody who pre-registers will need to provide a phone number as part of the process, and we will ask people at the door for a phone number or email address. We will also ask that everyone use the Covid Tracing App to scan QR codes at the venue.
We will also have hand sanitizer available, and ask that everyone is sensible and follows good hygiene practices. If you are sick, please stay away from the event.
The BGBTB crew strongly recommend that everyone gets a vaccine as soon as it becomes available. This is how we all get back to normal!
CAN I GET A REFUND?
If you are unable to attend an event due to illness, please let us know ASAP (so we can adjust our expectations of numbers attending). If you have a Day or Weekend pass, you will be refunded.
If an event needs to be cancelled, any pre-registered Day or Weekend passes will be refunded.
Annual Passes will not be automatically refunded. The Annual Pass is priced so that if you attend 3 events, you are getting a better price than three weekend passes. Therefore if one or two events are cancelled, the Annual Pass is still good value.
